Rising star, Laura Frank, gets personal on her new single We Won’t Stop Runnin’.

Inspired by a rough patch with her partner of seven years, Nick Morrissey, the pair hashed it out in the writer’s room. “We had been bickering constantly and couldn’t agree on anything,” recalls Laura. “Most songwriters get to live their lives and vent their experiences with their loved ones through songs and writing sessions. Nick and I do this together. If we argue or if either one of us are feeling a particular emotion and we need to work it out in song, we do it together.”

Navigating life, work and everything inbetween together has made the duo thick as thieves. In fact, their likeness to iconic cinema duo, Thelma and Louise, inspired the track’s freewheeling theme. “We’d rather drive off the cliff than give in,” admits Laura. “This is the ultimate ‘Ride or Die’ song. Nick is my Ride or Die.”

Laura was named ‘Most Promising Future Star’ at the 2023 Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards. Her music is always impactful, yet We Won’t Stop Runnin’ hits a new level.
