Co-written with longtime collaborator, Gavin Carfoot, Linc Phelps’s latest track, Country Singer, talks about the role country singers play in human connection; as vessels delivering universal stories that reach people on a personal level.

“Gav brought this idea to me, and I thought it was an interesting and clever way in highlighting just how important a song can become to someone, especially when the story being told is universal and allows the listener to identify parts of themselves within that narrative,” says Linc.

“Sometimes a song can change your life. It can make people feel less alone, bring joy, get you through a personal struggle and often become a soundtrack to certain parts of your life. On the surface it sounds simple, but for a songwriter, knowing that your words have played such an important part in someone’s life is the ultimate reward.”
